Monday Blues NO

Hidey Hoo and I hope all had a wonderful weekend!! I had a Fab-tastic weekend with lots to do and new people to meet and places to explore!! It was wonderful and if only I could have bottled the weekend to pull out on a boring weekend.

Also, I managed to do some shopping, drive to the cemetery to pay respects to the grandmother and dined at my favorite restaurant. And, I also spent a little time with my mother since it was Mother's Day on Sunday here in America!! I cherish spending time with my mother now that she is getting older.
And I purchased a few Tubes from Arthur Crowe Factory site!! His Tubes are Amazing!! This was my first time purchasing any of his art work and I don't think it will be my LAST!! A Talented Artist and he is from Mexico!!

Well I gotta go and take care of some business. Have a Blessed Day!!

Charm City charges Officers

Hidey Hoo, and I hope all are having a Great Day thus far?! Well, It seems as though it is a good day for the Freddy Gray family and the citizens of Baltimore! The State's Attorney has charged the 6 Officers with Murder, and she read the charges on LIVE Television!!  You can check out the NYTimes  and Washington Post articles. A snippet of the NY Times article:

Baltimore’s chief prosecutor charged six police officers on Friday with crimes including murder and manslaughter in the arrest and fatal injury of Freddie Gray, a striking and surprisingly swift turn in a case that has drawn national attention to police conduct.
The state’s attorney for Baltimore, Marilyn J. Mosby, filed the charges almost as soon as she received a medical examiner’s report that ruled Mr. Gray’s death a homicide, and a day after the police concluded their initial investigation and handed over their findings. Officials had cautioned that it could take considerable time for her office to complete its own investigation and decide whether to prosecute."

Well, it's good they charged the officers and now we wait until the Trial. It is sad that the citizens of Baltimore had to loot and destroy the city in order to get attention...I suggest NOW they come together to repair and return the merchandise to the stores and business' they looted.
If you'd like to know more about the Baltimore State's Attorney, Marilyn Mosby, check out the NY Times article.  or check out the Washington Post article
I can't wait to see what the Trial will say of these Officers...what they did was wrong but maybe they were doing their job, and it was a rush to convict these Officers with the State's Attorney office.  Well, We will see what happens as the days move further toward the trial.
In other news, Al Sharpton and Malik Shabazz are expected to protest on Baltimore streets this weekend. This will bring about more uneasiness and tensions cause Al Sharpton is a controversial figure!! We will see what happens cause the drama ain't over yet!!
Well, I gotta go and take care of some business . Have a Great day and Be kind to everyone who you meet.
